Specialized Services
NEW! Psychiatric Medication Management
We have providers that can assist with prescribing medication to help with anything from ADHD to anxiety to depression. Medication management is a vital part of some treatments. Our well-being is directly connected to our overall physical health, stress and trauma can leave us feeling anxious, hopeless and overwhelmed. That’s why monitoring medications, their side effects, and their possible interactions with other medications is critical. A big part of what psychiatrists do is provide psychiatric medication management and assessment. If these feelings go untreated for long periods of time, major psychological and physical illnesses can result. In addition, associated with behaviors can become addictive and destructive.
Outpatient Therapy
Our counselors have a variety of experience that can assist you with your counseling needs. If it's ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, or many others, our team can meet your need. We provide services for children, adolescent, adults, couples and families.
Tele-Therapy / Video Counseling
We offer on-line counseling as a convenience for your busy schedule. We use a secure HIPPA compliant video-chat application to provide security on our end. This gives you the convenience of receiving counseling services from home, your car, your office or anywhere else you feel is secure. We do require an initial in-person appointment to determine if your situation is a good fit for on-line counseling. This initial visit may be covered by your insurance. On-line counseling, however, is not covered by every insurance company, so subsequent on-line session are provided as an out-of-pocket expense if not covered by insurance.
Chemical Dependency Treatment
Our Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC) provide professional treatment and support for those needing assistance with drugs and alcohol. Some of the services we provide are Chemical Dependency Evaluations, dual diagnosis treatment, and drug education.
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR therapy has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.
When a person is very upset, their brain cannot process information as it does ordinarily. One moment becomes “frozen in time,” and remembering a trauma may feel as bad as going through it the first time because the images, sounds, smells, and feelings haven’t changed. Such memories have a lasting negative effect that interferes with the way a person sees the world and the way they relate to other people.
EMDR therapy seems to have a direct effect on the way that the brain processes information. Normal information processing is resumed, so following a successful EMDR therapy session, a person no longer relives the images, sounds, and feelings when the event is brought to mind. You still remember what happened, but it is less upsetting. Many types of therapy have similar goals. However, EMDR therapy appears to be similar to what occurs naturally during dreaming or REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Therefore, EMDR therapy can be thought of as a physiologically based therapy that helps a person see disturbing material in a new and less distressing way.
