Tachelle reeker, PLMHP, pladc
Tachelle Reeker is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, PLMHP and a Provisionally licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, PLADC in the state of Nebraska.
I received both my Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Health and Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha. I have worked with a variety of individuals, including different age groups, backgrounds, and mental health concerns in crisis services, inpatient treatment programs, and outpatient community mental health services. I have specialized training in substance use/addiction disorders and assessments, trauma, domestic violence/abuse, suicide prevention and Gottman Couples Therapy.
My work is integrative, drawing from several types of therapy. I incorporate therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also integrate a strength-based approach to therapy, as people tend to neglect their strengths when facing difficult challenges.
My approach incorporates curiosity, empathy, compassion, empowerment, and a space that is partly “figuring things out” and largely understanding your “response to things”. My goal is to help you discover the best version of yourself by learning skills to maintain the authentic qualities of that version.
