Shawna Ciurej, LIMHP
Shawna Ciurej is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. She received her Bachelor’sDegree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. Shawna works with all ages, but has years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. When working with children, she believes that it is important for parents/caregivers to be involved in treatment in order for the child to be successful. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings, including residential, intensive outpatient, schools, and outpatient.

She integrates her training along with other modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy, to create a personalized approach to therapy for each individual or family. She specializes in trauma, grief and loss, bereavement, attachment, depression, anxiety, and child disruptive behaviors.
